The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has said there are no plans to increase the price of fuel products during this yuletide season.
The assurances are coming on the heels of panic buying by motorists in some parts of the country, especially Lagos and Abuja.
Motorists have been seen queuing at filling stations, struggling to get Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also known as petrol, in some parts of the commercial city of Lagos.

But the oil corporation said in tweet on its official handle on Monday, that “there is no plan to increase the prices of petroleum products both at the ex-depot level and pump price ahead of the forthcoming yuletide”.
The NNPC informed, that “the ex-depot petrol price of N133.38 per litre and the pump price of N143/N145 per litre have not changed”, noting, that the there is enough stock of fuel to ensure seamless supply and distribution of products across the country.
